Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team Finish 8th at Eldora Speedway's Dream 100
VIENNA, WV (June 11, 2008)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team competed in the Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg Ohio this past weekend. The Dream 100 is the biggest paying dirt late model event of the year paying a whopping $100,000 to win the 100-lap feature event. Steve would qualify an impressive 18th out of the 123 drivers entered. Steve would finish 3rd in his heat race earning the 18th starting position for the feature. Steve would charge into the top ten early in the event and ran a solid race finishing 8th in the final run down.
"We were very pleased to finish 8th at Eldora this past weekend. We started 18th and I was able to move forward and pass some good cars to get into the top ten. It was a good weekend for us and hopefully we'll come back in September and contend for the win at the World 100. I want to thank all my sponsors for their support and help. It's always good to run good in the big events for our sponsors", stated Steve.
