Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team Heading to Skyline Speedway and Florence Speedway This Weekend
 
VIENNA, WV (May 28, 2008)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team will travel to the state of Ohio this Friday May 30th and compete in the IRS sanctioned event at Skyline Speedway in Stewart Ohio for a $5,000 to win feature event. Shaver is no stranger to Skyline Speedway winning numerous special events over the years at the track only 30 minutes from his race shop. On Saturday May 31st Shaver and the teams plans are to travel to Florence Speedway in Union Kentucky and compete in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event the "Ralph Latham Memorial Race".
 
"Were excited about this weekend and the tracks that we plan on traveling too. Both Skyline and Florence have been good for us in the past and were confident about getting a couple of wins this weekend. Hopefully we can get a little luck to go our way and we'll be in contention for the win both nights", stated Steve.
 
This past weekend Steve competed in two IRS sanctioned events with mixed results. On Friday Steve traveled to  Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH for a $5,000 to win event. Steve would lead most of the event only to fade in the closing laps with the wrong tire choice but still managed a solid 4th place finish. Then on Saturday Steve and the team headed to Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville Ohio for another $5,000 to win IRS sanctioned event only to miss his qualifying setup a little and was mired deep in the pack. Steve would make the feature event but never really got the handle on the car all night and finished a disappointing 17th place in the final run down.
