It’s ‘Showtime’ for Steve Shaver during Independent Racing Series at Elkins

ELKINS, WV (May 2, 2008)—Steve Shaver of Vienna, WV captured his first career Independent Racing Series Victory Friday Night May 2, 2008 at the Elkins Motor Speedway in Elkins, WV. The win was worth $5,000.

Shaver led all 50 laps while becoming the 15th different winner in just 17 events on the Independent Racing Series since the series originated in 2007.

Front-row starters Steve Shaver and Tim Dohm led the field of 25 to the green flag with Shaver grabbing the inside line and slipping high to lead the first circuit with Dohm a close second with Duane Chamberlain third, Mike Knight fourth and Joe Loudin the top-five at the line.
